<p class="Paragraph">You can import any text page, including pages in HTML format, into a <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress slide.</p>

<p class="P2">Go to the slide where you want to insert the text or HTML page.</p>

<p class="P2">Choose <span class="T1">Insert - File </span>. This opens the <span class="T1">Insert File</span> dialog.</p>

<p class="P2">Under <span class="T1">File Type</span>, select "Text" or "Web page". Select the file to be inserted and click <span class="T1">Insert</span>.</p>

<p class="Paragraph">If the file contains more text than can be inserted in one slide, spread the text over several slides:</p>

<p class="P3">Double-click in the inserted text, to see the gray edge that indicates edit mode.</p>

<p class="P3">Select all the text underneath the visible slide and cut it to the clipboard by pressing <help:switch select="System" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><help:case select="MAC">(Command)</help:case><help:default>(Ctrl)</help:default></help:switch>(X).</p>

<p class="P3">Insert a new, blank slide and paste the content of the clipboard there by pressing <help:switch select="System" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><help:case select="MAC">(Command)</help:case><help:default>(Ctrl)</help:default></help:switch>(V).</p>

<p class="P3">Repeat these steps until all the text is placed on slides.</p>
